The wedding we missed

Hi! I hope you’re all well and excited to go back to school (for those of you who are still studying). As I’m writing this, I am back in France and currently still have a month to wait before starting college, which is crazy.

Today’s post has two purposes : sharing with you an outfit I was supposed to wear for a wedding, and also capturing the little nook that was present in the flat where my boyfriend was staying. The nook has really big windows, which is great because the flat was very sunny at times. It also offered a nice view on the trees, which looked especially amazing during windy days.

We were invited to a wedding in August, so before flying to Sweden I got this outfit ready and brought it with me, since I didn’t want to spend any money. We couldn’t go to the wedding in the end, but since I had a nice little outfit ready, I thought “why not make a wedding post”? So here it is, I hope you like it. I went for a short jumpsuit, which I think is an awesome alternative to the traditionnal dress or skirt. I didn’t go overboard with the accessories, just a belt to complement the embellished collar. A pair of black heels, and you’re good to go 🙂

I also wanted to capture the view from the balcony, since we let go of the flat and will never see it again. Even if the train passed right in front the flat, I grew to like it.

Thank my boyfriend again for all the silly poses haha

I really hope you liked this post, let me know what you think ! 🙂 Is this something you would wear to a wedding? What would your go-to wedding attire be?

Oh and by the way, I also changed the theme of the blog (since apparently the old one was retired), what are your thoughts? I really like the more simplistic approach to it, the big pictures and the white background. Thanks so much for reading once again, it means a lot 🙂 Take care of yourself, and see you next time ❤

Des bisous, Madeline

  1. Such a pretty jumpsuit, gives off some 60’s vibes. I definitely like the idea of wearing a jumpsuit over a dress to a formal event – something I want to try out for sure. Gives the ability to be worn more often too since you can style it so differently simply by just the accessories.

    1. Thank you so much ! 🙂 Jumpsuits are one of my favorite pieces of clothing, they have this little extra something that I love, especially when they have long sleeves.
Thank you for taking the time to read and share your thoughts, it means a lot ❤

  2. loved the first pictures, before they got wilder and therefore lost the sophistication. That outfit is so excellent looking, that it is probably easier to capture than the orange dress which as you noted had a less flattering shape, it suggested a different kind of person – equally valid kind of person – all you of course.

    1. I agree, I’m gonna work on getting better pictures in the future, thanks for the comment. Indeed this outfit looks way nicer than the orange dress ; I love them both equally though, they are very different but that’s what I love about clothes, you can mix styles up.
      Thank you for reading !

  3. J’adore cette combinaison !!! Tu es une belle personne et en plus tu as beaucoup de goût dans le choix de tes vêtements . Un petit bout de femme qui sort des sentiers battus avec une personnalité bien à à elle et qui l’assume !! J’adore !!!!!!! Gros bisous ma belle !!
