Hi guys! I hope you’re all well and enjoying the end of summer 🙂 Today I wanted to share this post with you about an afternoon in Gävle, a cute and small city from Sweden located north of Uppsala.

A river runs in the city, which creates a beautiful scenery with a really green and lush nature all around the riverside.

This is the place we had to drive to rent movies : a 45 minutes ride there that was just worth it. Plus the city was really nice, so it was a good opportunity to explore.

And here I am posing like a goof and staring deeply into the horizon. Really, it’s still pretty awkward posing for pictures ^^ How do you girls do? Any tips on not feeling silly when snapping photos of your outfit? Let me know in the comments 🙂

The houses by the river looked really cute, it felt a bit like a fishermen’s village.

To me, this dress is a weird mix between a hospital/nurse gown and an old school teacher’s attire, but I love it. I remember trying it in store one summer and not liking the way it fit me (it’s actually not a very flattering shape, it’s pretty simple and straight). I ended up not buying it, but I couldn’t stop thinking about this dress.

A year after that, I magically found out that the dress was still being sold online, so I ended up buying it on sale for the bargainous price of 15 euros. Moral of the story : sometimes it’s better to wait 🙂

The city showcased a great amount of beautiful flowers. The one above is one I had never seen before, it looks like a spiky ball or one of those medieval maces. At least the bugs seemed really fond of it.

My boyfriend insisted on the fact that I should publish this picture he took. It looks pretty ridiculous and goofy, but I guess that this is quite realistic, since I don’t take myself or what I do in here too seriously 🙂 What do you think? I’ll gladly read your comments as always, see you in my next post! Until then, have a good week and take care of yourselves ❤

Des bisous, Madeline

  1. i liked the last photo best.. and some of the early ones, from the back straight up and down, the one before staring at the sky… i like the bag to be tossed around, not hanging on stiffly , maybe ideally not quite so extreme a pose as the last one, but definitely the movement, sass , pizzazz. The back one is interesting because its unusual.
loved the mace ball flower – makes me think “spikenard” but that seems to be a different flower.. how big was it?

    1. Thank you for your detailed comment! You can blame my boyfriend for the silly pose in the last picture, he always comes up with the weirdest ideas haha
When it comes to the flower, it was more or less half the palm of my hand, so quite big. It looked pretty nice.
